Kitchen Extension
Clapham, London
The Challenge
Typical for this style of property, the house was completely shut off from the garden and consisted of unconnected, disjointed rooms which were proving unsuitable for socializing and connecting with family. Our brief was to create an extension which opened out to the garden and connected the rest of the ground floor to heart of the home.

Solution
When we first visited the house it was clear that the disjointed room layouts were creating a huge problem with how the house was enjoyed, there was no flow between the rooms.
The changing levels play a key part in connecting the front and back of the house, defining the individual spaces whilst creating a great sense of flow between them.
Due to the existing outrigger of this property the floor plan became quite deep, a large roof light ensures those deeper spaces have natural balanced light all day long.
The use of the floor to ceiling critall glass effortlessly connects the living space and the garden whilst keeping a traditional yet contemporary feel.

Results
A Beautifully appointed kitchen extension.
Tones of royal blue contrast against a neutral scandi back drop creating a real wow factor.
Crittal style glazing connects the space with the garden and makes for a wonderful bright family space.
